Training 1m Youth: IT ministry invites proposals

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication invited on Friday proposals to train one million youth across the country under the Digital Skills Training Programme. Basic objectives of the programme are to impart training to youth and provide them opportunities to learn remarkable skills in freelancing and entrepreneurship using the internet.

IT ministry looks to promote exports

In a chat with APP, Digital Skills Training Programme Project Manager Usman bin Tahir said the idea had been given by Minister of State for IT Anusha Rahman to the National Technology Fund (Ignite), formerly National ICT Research and Development Fund, for setting up a portal to promote research culture at the grassroots level.
