The livestock department will distribute 2,125 animals (male, female calves, goats) among poor women and widows in three districts of the division during the current year.
The women will be selected through lucky draws to be held next week, said Livestock Director Dr Muhammad Nawaz Malik. He said that 236 animals and 399 goats would be distributed in Faisalabad, 355 animals and 475 goats in Jhang, while 210 animals and 450 goats in Chiniot.
Livestock dept all set to introduce camel milk in city
He said that women residing in rural areas and having agricultural land less than one acre will be eligible for registration. He said that all animals would be insured.
