HANGU: A child was killed from a mortar shell blast in Orakzai Agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) on Thursday.
Security sources told The Express Tribune that the child was playing near an abandoned field in Ottman Khel when his foot landed on an old mortar shell.

Consequently, a blast took place which killed him on the spot.
Later, security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway to find more of these explosives in the village.
