PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), on Thursday, claimed to have foiled a potential terror bid in Peshawar, arresting two suspected terrorists and confiscating explosives from their possession.

According to a press release issued today, an early morning raid was conducted near Khazana Road after the CTD officials received a tip-off about explosives being taken to the capital city of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) was later called in who have successfully defused the explosive device, weighing some four kilogrammes.

In September this year, the CTD arrested three terrorists and confiscated six kilogrammes of explosives during a raid on Peshawar’s Ring Road near Toll Plaza.
