Court officials said the administration had been shifting the record and other material of courts in new Judicial Complex in night time for the last two to three weeks.

The shifting of record was being made in night time due to resistance by lawyers. However, the shifting of record had been completed amid tight security. The court proceedings will now be held at new Judicial Complex, officials added.

The new Judicial Complex had been constructed at Mattital Road due to blockage of traffic at Katchehry Chowk. However, the lawyers had been protesting for the last three years and rejected the plan of shifting the district courts out of the city.

The lawyers said that distance between district courts and High Court would create problems for them. They refused to shift there till shifting of all courts situated at various places in the city.
