Karachi-bound bus slipped off road due to rainfall

MASTUNG: At least three were killed and 15 others injured early Monday morning when a Karachi-bound passenger coach overturned due to rainfall near Mastung.

The accident occurred near the Wali Khan bypass in Mastung district of Balochistan. According to the levies forces, the accident took place due to rain causing the road to become slippery. The injured were rushed to Nawab Ghus Baksh Raisani hospital.

Last month, 15 people, including three security personnel, were killed and 29 others injured in a collision between a passenger wagon and a bus on the Quetta-Sibi National Highway on Saturday. The severity of the collision was such that the wagon was crushed completely and six people, including the wagon’s driver, died on the spot.

Earlier this year, at least nine people were killed while more than 30 were injured when a Karachi-bound bus fell into a cave near Lak-Pass, on the outskirts of Quetta.
