Imran Abbas calls for release of 'Tiger Zinda Hai' in Pakistan

The first installment of the film was banned in Pakistan

Imran Abbas made his Bollywood debut with Bipasha Basu starrer Creature 3D and then did a cameo in Karan Johar helmed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The trailer of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer, Tiger Zinda Hai had received positive a response from the audiences and Abbas has most definitely joined the fan club.



While gushing over Tiger Zinda Hai, he also wished that the film will release in Pakistan so that everyone can get entertained by Salman’s awesome stunts.



Twitter, too, seemed to align with his views as everyone wanted the film to release in Pakistan.

One Twitter user retorted that Pakistani films should too be released in Pakistan.



Previously, the first installment of the movie, Ek Tha Tiger was banned in Pakistan since it portrayed Pakistan’s security agencies wrongfully and was problematic for public screening in Pakistan.

“We have strict criteria due to which films that have themes that touch on anti-terrorism and are against Pakistan’s national institutions or security agencies ultimately have to be censored because they are against the national interest,” he said about the second Indian film to be banned this year, the first being Saif Ali Khan starrer Agent Vinod.

Ek Tha Tiger has several themes referring to Pakistan’s agencies, which were deemed problematic; thus, leading to the ban of the film.”

Will the sequel of the movie release in Pakistan? Only time will tell.
