Forming budget to be the real test for government: Sattar

Shah Mehmood Qureshi meets MQM leaders at nine zero headquarters.

KARACHI: Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Doctor Farooq Sattar said on Saturday that the formation of a budget will be a real testing time for the government.

During his meeting with Shah Mehmood Qureshi the MQM former Foriegn minister said he will favour any political alliance which leads to positive change.

The meeting between Qureshi and MQM leader took place at nine zero headquarters.

Qureshi stated that there was a need to review the economic policy of the country and a policy be established to impose tax on landlords.

Speaking on the political turmoil in Karachi, Qureshi said there was a need to track down criminal elements involved in target killings.

Hedgefunder | 13 years ago | Reply @Sultan Ahmed: Mr Qureshi may be bankable as politician, but he too is not that clean, his pockets too are heavy from ill gotten gains. Also do not forget that lot deals done with the USA were done under his watch as foreign Minister, so he is responsible for the broth that is being cooked in cauldron called Pakistan.

Raymond Devise, an American agent and killer of two Pakistani was in the custody of the police,when he was said to declared him diplomat but refused to do so. he publicly stated that he was not diplomat. Qureshi is outspoken figure, and it is doubt less to say that he had gained success on the front of foreign adventure. When he said that feudal lords must be brought into the tax net he is right and sincere in his views, economy of the state require more tax so that foreign aid may be disregarded. Feudal lord should pay their share in form of agricultural tax because it is dire need of the time. Parties in power, and the parties having right representation in the assemblies are coming closer that is good omen,very good omen that is best for our country. Every Pakistani looks in anger on the drone attacks being done by the United States in which large number of innocent has lost their lives it must be stopped the whole nation demanding for that. As a foreign minister Mr. Qureshi has been opposing this American act but failed due to betrayal from inner side of powerful concerned quarters.
