DASKA: One of the largest cities in Sialkot district, Daska, does not have a single park to serve its population of over 300,000 people, said Muhammad Jamil Sethi, chairman of the Thinkers’ Forum Daska on Friday.

Citizens of the town have to go to Sialkot or even as far afield as Lahore or Islamabad for recreation, he said, which is a tremendous waste of resources.

The municipal administration has been trying for three years to build a park, but they claim to have been unable to have found a suitable location during this time, neither within the city limits nor even on its outskirts.
