The village lies in close proximity to the Bara area of Khyber Agency and witnessed years of lawlessness in the past. However, locals said the situation remained largely peaceful because of the presence of the security forces in the area.

Meanwhile, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on a terrorist hideout in Zhob district, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday. The paramilitary forces arrested a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) facilitator during the raid.
