Army chief, British High Commissioner discuss regional security

Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting at the GHQ, says ISPR

British High Commissioner Thomas Drew called on Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Friday and discussed regional security.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of mutual interests were also discussed during the meeting.


UK army chief arrives on official visit to Pakistan, meets COAS

Last month, Chief of General Staff of the UK, General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter met General Qamar and discussed strengthening of bilateral security and defence cooperation between the two countries.

He acknowledged Pakistan Army's achievements in the fight against terrorism and its continued efforts for peace and stability in the region. General Carter said the UK greatly appreciated Pakistan's sacrifices in this regard.
