Ibne Khaldun Corner opens at NBF

ISLAMABAD: Ibne Khaldun literary corner would be established at National Book Foundation (NBF) with the support of Tunisian Embassy in Islamabad.

The literary corner aimed to strengthen literary relations with Tunisia in the field of literature and civilisation, an official of NBF said on Thursday. He said that the literary corner would promote book reading culture among the students and visitors of NBF.

He said that the readers would get an opportunity to access books on Ibne Khaldun life and his literary work. He said that Ibne Khaldun, born 732 in Tunis, was one of the most important literary figure in the field of history and sociology in Muslim history.

NBF has already established number of international literary corners including Hafiz Shirazi, Nizami Gujvi and Qimoos Corner in order to distinguish the thirst of literature.

He said that NBF has opened doors to collaborate with countries like Tunisia to promote common heritage.
