Ishaq Dar yet again failed to appear before the accountability court, hearing a National Accountability Bureau reference filed against him pertaining to his assets beyond means.

Dar’s counsel, Khawaja Haris, submitting his clients report requested the judge to exempt him to appear before the court.

Reading out the medical report, Haris stated that his client was severely ill and could not walk for three-four minutes at a stretch. He also said that Dar will have to undergo angiography on November 3 and therefore could not attend the hearing.

Arrest warrant issued for Dar

Objecting to the request, the NAB prosecutor said that the report could not be accepted by the court as it does not mention any illness.

Citing Mufti Abdul Qavi’s case the prosecutor argued that Dar could undergo angiography in Pakistan.

The court reserved its judgment in the case.

The accountability court had earlier on Monday issued bailable arrest warrant for the finance minister for failing to appear before the court.

Shahnawaz | 7 years ago | Reply Procedures like Angiography, can be performed without any complication in Pakistan. I think AKU etc should be well versed with these procedures. The Tax Payers money is going to the dumpster and they ask for more taxes.
