He expressed these views while addressing the farewell ceremony of the Khattak, who was last serving as the additional IG for Investigations
Khattak started his service as an ASP on November 5, 1984. He belonged to the 12th common batch of police. He served in many districts such as Bhakkar, Jhelum, Rawalpindi SP, Toba Tek singh DPO, DG Khan DPO, Narowal DPO, Police College Sahala Deputy commandant, Lahore Traffic DIG, Lahore and Rawalpindi VVIP security special branch DIG, Training and Investigation Additional IG in his tenure. While in service, he also served in Bosnia with a UN peace mission.

In the farewell ceremony, all officers of central police paid homage to Khattak as a role model for young officers.
In his address, Khattak said that he had been successful throughout his service by the grace of Allah.
