AIOU to distribute laptops to post graduates

The eligible students who fulfill the criteria, fixed by the HEC, can apply for the laptops by November 30

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Monday announced its fresh (4th and 5th-phase) scheme for distribution of laptops to Master, M.Phil and Ph.D-level students under Prime Minister Youth programme.

The eligible students who fulfill the criteria, fixed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) could apply for the laptops by Nov 30,Director Regional Services Dr Arif Saleem Arif said.

All the current enrolled students of the AIOU including those who got admission in autumn 2017 could avail the opportunity. They should visit the University website or HEC for necessary guidance.As per the directives of the Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui, the process of implementing the scheme has been expedited while maintaining its transparency, he added.In the recent phase, 25,000 students from various parts of the country were distributed the laptops.
