Mansehra District Nazim Mansehra Sardar Said Ghulam, leading a delegation, met with Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ayaz to inform him about the environmental impact of gravel excavation from the river bed.

The delegation briefed the Mansehra DC that gravel collection from River Siran was seriously affecting water channel, harming the agricultural land and also creating huge environmental impact in the area. After a detailed deliberation about the issue, DC Mansehra ordered to impose section 144 on the gravel collection from River Siran.
In the meeting matters pertaining to Bakrial town and Suki Kinari Dam also came under consideration. The DC assured the district nazim of resolution of the issues.
The meeting decided to constitute a joint committee comprising of Mansehra Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rehman, members of the local bodies members and district council to resolve the issues regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Mansehra district.
