KARACHI: Actors and singers have joined parents in protesting against the increase in school fee. The arbitrary increase in tuition fee has prompted the artists to announce their support for the protest walk organised against the school administrations scheduled at Seaview at 10am today (Saturday).

Actors and singers voiced their concerns saying that the unnecessary increase in school fees is unlawful and illegal. They said that the government has passed a law that private schools can only increase their fee by 5% every year but they claimed that no school follows this law.

Students demand school repairs

They regretted that parents are forced to educate their children at private schools where the owners try to take advantage of poor quality of public schools in the country. They demanded that the government must act against such schools and that they must be made to abide by the laws so that the parents are not troubled with the burden of excess fee.
