Childcare: Hospitals to set up special panels

KARACHI: The Sindh Health Department has called for ‘Child Protective Committees’.

In a notification issued on Thursday, they directed all provincial government hospitals, including tertiary care ones, district headquarters and taluka hospitals, to put together these committees to deal with child abuse and child neglect cases.

Civil Hospital, Karachi’s paediatrics department will be the main referral centre, and will assist the other hospitals.
