ISLAMABAD: The National Agriculture Research Council (NARC) may finally get to keep its land a Senate panel was told on Wednesday. Senate Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research Chairman Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah on Wednesday informed the House about the successful efforts of the body for not converting 1,400 acres land of National Agriculture Research Council (NARC) into residential and commercial plots by Capital Development Authority (CDA). He said that National Food Security & Research Minister Sikandar Hayat Bosan has informed the committee that the prime minister has approved the proposal of the ministry for the withdrawal of summary of CDA chairman regarding re-planning of NARC land and cancellation of lease agreement between CDA and NARC.
