Four arrested, guns recovered during search operation

ISLAMABAD: As many as four suspects were arrested by the Islamabad Police on Friday as police conducted a search operation in Kohsar and Nilore areas of the capital. They also recovered weapons from their possession, a police spokesperson said.

Officials, hailing from the Islamabad Police, Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various parts of Kohsar and Nilore including Gogina and Dharkala. The operation was headed by Superintendents of Police Zubair Sheikh and Dr Syed Tanveer Mustafa.

Police commandos, lady commandos and staff of the Bomb Disposal squad also participated in the operation.

They screened 95 houses, checked 175 people and arrested four suspects. During the search, they recovered two 12 bore rifles and two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition.
