Rs4.67 million allocated for DHQ Bhakkar extension

The extension project will enhance the capacity of the emergency block

BHAKKAR: Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider issued detailed orders to the administration of DHQ Bhakkar hospital to ensure the standard and speed of the extension plan of the hospital.

The deputy commissioner said 24 beds would be added in the extension of the emergency block and this addition would increase the total number of beds in emergency block.

The project would be completed with a cost of Rs4.67 million. The council approved new schemes offered under the funds. DHO Dr Muhammad Akbar, Director DHDC Dr Muhammad Ishaq, MS DHQ Dr Hassan Nawaz, DMO Arshad Watu and Irfanullah Khan Niazi were also in the meeting presided by DC Bhakkar.

Later, on his residence, Deputy Commissioner Haider met Ejaz Ahmad, a farmer from Tibba Murtaza Shah Dagar in Tehsil Daryakhan, who is also the tallest man in Pakistan. Social Welfare deputy director and other officers, Ejaz’s brothers and sisters were also present on this occasion.

The deputy commissioner asked about the problems Ahmed was facing and assured him that the district administration would help resolve these issues.

The DC announced that Ahmed would be invited next week and a special assistance package will be announced on this occasion. He said medical treatment for Ejaz Ahmad and a government job would be ensured.
