Plea to move tehsil centre to Shankiari

The PHC Abbottabad bench issues ad-interim order against the location of headquarter of the newly formed Tehsil Baffa

ABBOTTABAD: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) Abbottabad bench on Thursday issued ad-interim order against the location of headquarter of the newly formed Tehsil Baffa on petition of Tehsil member Manshear Khalid Qureshi and others. The petitioners argued the government has neglected 11 union councils of Siran Valley of new Tehsil Baffa and ordered to establish the tehsil headquarters in the surrounding of Baffa town which is injustice with people. The lawyers of the petitioner further told to the court that the matter can be resolved with the deliberation of elected local bodies’ members and select a place near Shankiary town according to the will of the people of 11 union councils.
