Safe Cities: CM says work nearing completion

Progress on safe city projects reviewed

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said work on the safe city project in Lahore was being done rapidly and it was moving towards completion soon. “The safe city project will be an example of its own with regard to quality and transparency. Third-party validation will also be done,” he added.

The CM said the project will play an effective role in the protection of the life and property of the people.  He said that use of the latest technology was the need of the hour to improve the law and order situation.

After Lahore, six others to become ‘safer cities’

Shehbaz added the Punjab government was pursuing the policy of vigorously promoting the latest technology in public sector institutions to enhance service delivery. He said this while addressing a meeting through video link. The moot reviewed progress on safe city projects in Lahore and other cities.
