''Pakistan is among the 193 member states of the United Nations, therefore, there is a need to provide opportunities to all young people to increase their knowledge about human rights and activities of the UN,'' Dr Stepheni Buri, head of the Swiss Cooperation Office, said while opening the center in presence of some senior officials, recently.
The UN Corner, she said, would be routinely updated with new publications from all UN agencies including magazines, newsletters, research studies and other publications on human rights.
“The young researchers will get updated facts about Pakistan and the UN efforts in the development sector,” Dr Buri added.

He urged the students to take maximum benefit from it as it serves a single reference point for all the information material regarding the UN for university students, teachers and researchers.
