She's back: Mawra Hocane to star in a pre-partition-era drama 'Aangan'

Mawra Hocane is surely sticking to her roots! The starlet is all set to star in yet another drama serial, helmed by Udaari director, Ehtashamuddin.
The drama is titled Aangan and is reportedly set in the pre-partition era. Aangan is produced by MD Production and will comprise a stellar cast.
A little birdie also tells us that this upcoming venture will be made on a massive scale, deeming it one of the most expensive TV productions to date. Expect a larger-than-life set that will make the project all the more believable!
Sources close to the Sanam Teri Kasam actor reveal that she is very excited to be part of such a seriously intriguing project. The story is written by Mustafa Zaidi, who also penned down the script for Noman Ejaz, Saniya Saeed starrer Sang-e-Marmar.

Previously, Dastaan, another period drama excelled on a local channel which starred Fawad Khan, Sanam Baloch, Samina Peerzada and others - which proves that Pakistani audiences thrive on period plays.
Mawra was last seen in Saniya, Adnan Siddiqui and Ahad Raza Mir starrer, Sammi.
