ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reiterated on Monday Pakistan’s strong commitment to the early operationalisation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, while talking to Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Atadjan Nurlyevich Movlamov.

The project, he said, is crucial for meeting Pakistan’s energy needs. The Prime Minister said Pakistan and Turkmenistan traditionally enjoy close and cordial relations marked by trust and understanding and pointed towards the increasing bilateral collaboration in different sectors as proof of this relationship.
