Furniture-makers to explore Turkish markets
Turkish furniture companies were keen to strengthen trade with the PFC
ISLAMABAD:
A 25-member delegation of the Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) left for Turkey on Saturday to participate in the six-day “Modef Fair” for exploring investment avenues in Turkish markets in order to enhance furniture exports and strengthen bilateral trade between the two countries.
Seeing off the delegation at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport, PFC chief Mian Kashif Ashfaq said Turkey was the gateway to Europe and access to Turkish markets could provide huge opportunities for Pakistan exporters to market their products in EU countries including handmade furniture, which was in great demand globally, in collaboration with Turkish companies.

He said Turkish furniture companies were keen to strengthen trade with the PFC as both countries had an enormous potential to enhance bilateral cooperation in the sector.
