He congratulated all the rescuers especially the pioneers upon completion of 13 years of the service with dedication and providing the right to timely emergency care without discrimination to millions of victims of emergencies and disasters and also proactively working for Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction.
He also voiced hope that all the rescuers would always maintain the standards of this emergency service with hard work, commitment and dedication. While recalling his memories, Dr Naseer said the Punjab Emergency Service was started as an Emergency Ambulance Service as a pilot project from Lahore back in 2004.
“Keeping in view failure of repeated attempts to revitalise and modernise the existing emergency services, everyone was very sceptical about the project’s success.
