LAHORE: The five people murdered in Gujrat, were laid to rest in their native villages on Saturday.
The married couple, Muhammad Yousuf and Akhtar Bibi along with their daughter Tania were burried in their village Jorra Karnana.
Two others, including Khursheed Arif and Nusrat Bibi were burried in Mararriyan Sharif.
Police station Rehmania had arrested accused Naveed Arif for the murders, however, he had already acquired a pre-arrest bail from court.
Several people protested against Arif's arrest and gathered at the DPO's office. After negotiations,Arif was released.
Late Muhammad Yousuf's cousin Muhammad Anwar said that cases have been registered against culprits Naveed Arif, Sheraz Arif and Qamar, adding that Qamar had been arrested.
