NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The curfew imposed in Razmak, after a security forces convoy was attacked in the Dosaili area of the agency, remained in place for the third consecutive day.

The residents of the sud-division told The Express Tribune that thousands of people have been stranded in Bannu district due to the curfew. They added that thousands have been confined to their homes as security forces have been ordered to shoot at sight in case anyone violates the curfew.

The residents appealed to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Jhagra and the Peshawar corps commander to lift the curfew as soon as possible as it affected the women, children and the elderly of the area.

The authorities in the area imposed the curfew after a security forces convoy was attacked in the Dosaili area of North Waziristan. During the attack, three security personnel were martyred and three were injured. The security forces had asked the locals to identify the militants who attacked the convoy or a curfew would be implemented in the area.
