Poverty — not the only cause of suicide in Punjab

In another incident, 18-year-old Ali Raza, a resident of Chak No 49-JB, had an argument with his parents over a domestic matter. In sheer frustration, he ended his life by shooting himself in the head. The police took bodies into custody and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a man was crushed to death under the wheels of a moving train in the area of Mamonkanjan police station.

Why suicide rates peak in spring?
