Flood rehabilitation: ‘7,000 houses to be constructed’
Seven thousand low-cost houses are being constructed in 43 flood-hit villages.

Small schemes of streets, road network, toilets and water supply were also being planned by the Sindh government. Other poverty-alleviation projects have also been launched at a cost of Rs3 billion. Around 30,000 young men and women were technically trained through the SRSO. Another $15 million project that entails the cultivation of sunflowers is helping provide jobs to the flood-affected people.
