Woman strangled to death in Sargodha

SARGODHA: A woman was murdered in Saddar police limits on Monday. Police said accused Mumtaz, a resident of Sumoranwali Village, Kotmomin Tehsil, had doubts about the character of his wife Iram Bibi.

On the day of the incident, the couple had an argument over a domestic issue. When the arguments escalated, the accused strangled Iram to death and fled the scene. The body was handed over to the heirs of the deceased after legal formalities. The police registered a case against the accused and started investigation.



Meanwhile, a woman was killed in a road accident. The police said that Amiran Khatoon, a resident of Ahmad Hayat Colony, was crossing a road when a speedy tractor trolley hit her. As a result, she was killed on the spot.
