Remains of drug addict recovered from fields

Purse was found in his pocket which contained around 400 rupees and his identity card

ISLAMABAD: Remains of a man believed to be dead for around three months were recovered from a field near Chak Shahzad on Saturday.

Police believe the deceased was a drug addict and died months ago while getting high in the field.

The suspicion about the deceased being a drug addict were strengthened by the fact that all his belongings including two mobile phones, a charger, a match box, a cigarette lighter, a comb and a few other things were intact lying beside him.

Mystery: Another ‘drug addict’ found dead

A purse was found in his pocket which contained around 400 rupees and his identity card.

The CNIC identified him as Muhamamd Imran, a 31-year-old resident of Khanpur in Rahim Yar Khan district. The police were able to trace down the deceased’s family on the given address.
