Leading smartphone brand, OPPO, has broken into the higher ranks of Pakistan’s smartphone market for the first two quarters of 2017. According to the latest data from GFK, the ever-evolving smartphone brand now holds second position in Pakistan’s 4G smartphone market.

Furthermore, according to a recent survey by GFK, for the month of July 2017, OPPO F3, OPPO A57 and OPPO A37 are ranked amongst the five most popular android phones in Pakistan’s 4G smartphone market. This was preceded by the success of OPPO R11 and OPPO A57.  According to Counterpoint Technology Market Research, they bagged the top two spots in the world-wide android market for the month of July 2017.

OPPO is one of the fastest growing brands in Pakistan thanks to the popularity of models including the flagship OPPO F3, OPPO A37 and OPPO A57. OPPO’s rapid growth can be attributed not only to the design, manufacturing capability, and rich features of sets but also to the out-smarting and out-spending rivals in sales channels, go-to-market, and marketing promotion strategies.

OPPO F3 became one of the best-selling Android phones in Pakistan as it was the first phone to introduce the dual selfie camera to the Pakistani customers, engendering a selfie trend across the country.

With a 16-megapixel front camera and powerful specs, OPPO A57 is highly favoured by young consumers for its unstoppable selfies while OPPO A37 offers a handful of high-end features for a price of Rs16,899.

GFK’s latest figures come on the tail of another encouraging report from independent research firm IDC, indicating that OPPO held the fourth spot in the world in 2016. Bolstered by 153% year-on-year growth for the first quarter of 2016, OPPO broke into the top-five global smartphone vendors for the first time.

OPPO shipped 18.5 million units in the first quarter of 2016, according to IDC, up from 7.3 million in the same period last year. Its year-on-year growth was the strongest of the top five brands.

Currently, OPPO provides excellent camera phone photography experience to over 200 million young people around the world.
