GUJRANWALA: Goods worth millions of rupees that were stolen in several robberies were returned to the owners on Monday. In the Gujranwala chamber of commerce hall a function was organised in which citizens who had been robbed of their property participated. Chamber of Commerce president Sarwat Akram and Capital Police Officer (CPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar returned jewellery worth more than Rs90 million, cash, buses, trucks and motorcycles to people who had been robbed over the past three years. The participants also spoke to the police about the robbery incidents and police officials said that this had helped them establish a pattern regarding robberies in the district. “We hope that this will help us catch the criminals more easily,” Dogar said.
