In a first, LHC chief justice makes his tax returns public
Noorul Amin Mengal had filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) through his counsel, seeking direction to declare his transfer orders to Balochistan as null and void. His counsel told the court that the federal government had amended the rotation policy after which an officer, who had domicile of Balochistan will have to serve for seven years in the same province.
The petitioner’s counsel submitted that the federal government wanted to appoint his client in Balochistan under the said policy, despite the fact that he had already served there for six years on various positions. He also contended that the officers of Pakistan administrative service could not be transferred under the rotation policy.
