Five people die in separate incidents

KHAIRPUR:

Five people including two children died in separate incidents in Khairpur district on Sunday night.

Two flood survivors, Jameela, 10, and her eight-year sister Rabia Qambarni, daughters of Ali Nawaz Qambrani, were playing near their relief camp in Muhammad Umar Rattar village, when they slipped and fell into a water tank. Both girls drowned and later, their bodies were taken to a local hospital for autopsy. The bodies were then handed over to the family.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Samina Narejo was allegedly killed by her brother, Sain Dino Narejo at Meral Narejo village. He also allegedly killed a relative, Amin Narejo, because he suspected Amin and his sister had illicit relations.

In another incident, a 15-year-old boy committed suicide by consuming poison in Ranjho Kalhoro village.
