Having recently completed 20 years in Bollywood, Rani said, "It’s been quite a learning process actually because, at the start, I didn’t want to be an actor. So, for a person who didn’t want to be an actor to someone who has completed two decades, you can imagine how much I must have learnt through my journey."

She added, "I got an opportunity to work with Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan in my first three films and my learning started when I saw them put in the kind of hard work they do. It has been a huge learning experience for me because with every film, every director and every actor you learn something new regardless of whether the film works at the box office or not."
Speaking about the state of Indian cinema today, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star added, "It’s amazing how cinema has changed in so many different ways in the last couple of decades. We are going through a wonderful time wherein there is a lovely mix. So just to see different kinds of film-makers and technicians working together, teaming up and learning from them has been quite an enriching journey."
When asked why she is still not on social media, Rani mentioned, "I don’t generally post pictures of my daughter Adira because my husband is a very private person and I respect that. Also, I don't like saying no to my fans, especially when they ask me to post pictures."

The Dil Bole Hadippa actor recently opened up about motherhood. "It's amazing being a mother; you change overnight because there are certain things that they kind of teach you on a day to day basis. A lot of things come with being a mother. I'm looking forward to my journey of raising Adira. It’s going to be fun,” India Today quoted her as saying.
While parenthood has made her stronger, she feels she has also mellowed down as a person. “The last two and a half years – nine months of pregnancy and one and a half years of motherhood - have been the happiest years of my life. I enjoy seeing Adira grow and reach new milestones each day,” concluded Rani.
