WAPDA team vows to defend trophy 

Chairperson expressed hope that team will perform to their full potential to defend title

LAHORE: Sports alone can be the catalyst and tool to overcome our national issues ranging from terrorism, illiteracy to fragile economy and can be a source of national harmony.

This was stated by WAPDA Chairman (retd) Muzammil Hussain. He met with WAPDA cricket team, led by its Captain Salman Butt, at the WAPDA House. WAPDA Sports Board President and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. Appreciating the team for winning their maiden Quaid-e-Azam Trophy last year, the chairman expressed hope that the team will perform to their full potential to defend title.

WAPDA to add 2,485MW of cheap electricity by mid-2018

During their interaction with the chairman, the cricketers thanked him for his patronage for the betterment of sports and players. They vowed to defend the title of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy by putting in their maximum.
