KARACHI: A gang of men broke into 30-year-old Farhan Naeem’s house in Saeedabad and physically assaulted him and his wife, 28-year-old Yasmin. They killed the couple after torturing them.

The police took the bodies to Civil Hospital, Karachi.

They said that the victim, Farhan, was a Sunni Tehreek activist.

As the news of the murder spread, tension followed. Unidentified armed men forced people to shut down their shops and businesses. A heavy contingent of police was deployed in the area.
