Five women, child burnt alive in Upper Dir house fire

At least six women, including a child, were burnt alive and two others injured as a fire broke out inside a house of Upper Dir district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to Express News, the fire which erupted in Dogdara area of the district was caused by a short-circuit in a electricity generator. The victims were identified as Maryam, Nasreen, Wareesha, Tasleem, Sameena and 3-year-old Mudassir.
According to sources, local residents moved the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital and managed to douse the fire in three hours.
However, the house was gutted, they added.
