After Sindh, Punjab police undergo major reshuffle

The province transferred and posted five DIGs, two SSPs and 10 DPOs

LAHORE: Just two weeks after a massive reshuffle in the hierarchy of Sindh Police where four DIGs, seven SSPs and 11 SPs were transferred and posted on September 10, the government of the Punjab transferred and posted five DIGs, two SSPs and 10 District Police Officers on Friday.

According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Zahid Saeed on Friday, Regional Police Officer Multan Sultan Azam Temuri (PSP/BS-20) was transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Gujranwala region, Deputy Inspector General of Police Telecommunication and Transport Punjab Ehsan Tufail (PSP/BS-20) was transferred and posted as DIG/Commandant, Police College Sihala against a vacant post.

Six senior police officers transferred, posted

While Regional Police Officer Sheikhupura Muhammad Shahzad Sultan (PSP/BS-20) (presently undergoing 10th National Management Course) was transferred and upon completion of the course was directed to report to Services and General Administration Department. Regional Police Officer Sargodha Zulfiqar Hameed (PSP/BS-20) was transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer Sheikhupura Region.

DIG VVIP Security, Special Branch, Punjab Muhammad Idrees Ahmad (PSP/BS-20) was transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Mullen Region. District Police Officer Bahawalpur Muhammad Akhtar Abbas (PSP/BS-19) was promoted to BS-20, in that service and was posted as Regional Police Officer Sargodha. City Police Officer Faisalabad Afzal Ahmed Kauser (PSP/BS-19) was transferred and directed to report to Central Police Office, Lahore, for further orders. Senior Superintendent of Police, Operations Athar Ismail Amjad (PSP/BS-19) was transferred and posted as City Police Officer Faisalabad.



Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Arif Nawaz issued a notification according to which DPO Attock Zahid Nawaz was posted as DPO Gujrat. Abadit Nisar, (Additional SP Security) was transferred and posted as DPO Attock. SSP RO, CTD Attaur Rehman was transferred and posted as DPO Bahawalnagar and Captain Liaquat Ali Malik was transferred and posted as DPO Jhang, against an existing vacancy. DPO Lodhran Asad Sarfraz Khan was transferred and posted as DPO Sialkot. DPO Sialkot Dr Muhammad Abid Khan was transferred and asked to report to Central Police Office, Lahore.

While Additional SP Sadar Faisalabad M Zulfiqar Ahmad was transferred and posted as DPO Kasur and DPO Kasur Ismailur Rehman was transferred and posted as DPO Pakpattan. DPO Pakpattan Kamran Yousaf Malik was transferred and directed to report to Central Police Office, Lahore. SSP Investigation Gujranwala Faisal Mukhtar was transferred and posted as DPO Mandi Bahauddin against an existing vacancy.
