Zero tolerance: NAB Balochistan recovered billions of looted money

NAB chairman described NAB Balochistan as one of the important regional bureaus

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan has recovered billions of rupees in order to eliminate corruption and corrupt practices through a holistic approach of Awareness, Prevention and Enforcement by adopting Zero Tolerance Policy across the board.

These remarks were made by NAB Balochistan Director General Irfan Naeem Mangi during NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry’s farewell visit.

He lauded the remarkable services of Chaudhry and the measures he has taken during his tenure as chairman NAB which have started yielding positive results.

Mangi said Chaudhry had always remained a guiding force for officers discharging their duties without any fear and favour.

NAB chairman described NAB Balochistan as one of the important regional bureaus of NAB. It plays prominent role in contributing towards the overall performance of NAB.

He appreciated the performance of NAB Balochistan and directed to arrest all corrupt, proclaimed offenders (POs) and absconders in line with NAB’s enforcement policy. He also directed all ranks of officers of NAB Balochistan to work more vigilantly, diligently and honestly in order to curb corruption and corrupt practices from the country. He said performance of all wings of NAB Balochistan is under the supervision of DG .

He said corruption is a cancer which is a silent killer. Today NAB is absolutely committed to root out corruption in all its forms and manifestations with iron hands.

Corruption impedes a country’s progress and prosperity  which creates injustice, poverty and deprivation of due rights.

He said that due to number of new initiatives taken during my tenure, PILDAT, Transparency International and World Economic Forum appreciated Pakistan due to NAB efforts. He said that NAB under his guidance and supervision perfected its procedures to make NAB more effective and proactive in order to come up to expectations of the nation.

Our overall performance remained excellent as compared to other Anti-Corruption Watchdogs.
