RA Bazaar police apprehended Ajmal Khan for allegedly murdering a bridegroom, Jahanzaib on his wedding day. The police also recovered the murder weapon.
Earlier, Javaid Iqbal, father of the deceased, lodged a report with the police that Ajmal Khan came to the wedding with a plan to murder his son.
Jahanzaib, 25, was shot dead on his wedding night, during celebrations at his house in Tench Bhata.
He was rushed to the District Headquarter Hospital Rawalpindi, where doctors declared him dead on arrival and handed over his body to his family after conducting an autopsy.
