Comedian Kapil Sharma promises Lata Mangeshkar a banging comeback

Revered comedian Kapil Sharma, who shot to fame with his show Comedy Nights With Kapil, recently fell sick and is presently undergoing a treatment at an ayurvedic clinic reports International Business Times (IBT).

The transmission of The Kapil Sharma Show - his other prime-time entertainment show - has been halted owing to the illness. However, Kapil was recently requested by veteran Bollywood play-back singer Lata Mangeshkar to resume work soon and the comedian promised her that he will.

"He's brought so much happiness and laughter into every home. It's truly disappointing to hear that his show is no longer going to be telecast. I wish him a quick recovery and I hope the show returns soon,"IBT quoted the singer as saying.

Kapil was quick to respond to the legendary singer's warm words. "I want Lata didi to know that the show is coming back stronger than ever. I am here at an ayurvedic clinic for 40 days of healing. I am already feeling the change in me and I promise I will come back," he said.

Several super-stars such as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman khan have previously graced Kapil's show with their presence. The comedian,  is a big fan of Lata and had requested her to come on his show on several occasions but she turned down the offers saying, "I enjoy watching his show. Not being on it."
