A three-member bench comprising Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Ibadur Rehman Lodhi and Justice Shahid Jamil Khan heard the pleas filed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Faisal Mir and others.
The bench rejected the petitions by a 2-1 majority vote.
During the course of proceedings, the petitioners counsel argued that neither the returning officer nor the tribunal looked into the details of their objections, including concealment of assets by the ruling PML-N candidate.

Kulsoom Nawaz's counsel opposed the contentions of the petitioners and submitted that baseless allegations were levelled against the acceptance of her nomination papers.
Returning officer Muhammad Shahid appeared before the bench on being summoned and submitted the record. The returning officer said he accepted the nomination papers of Kulsoom while keeping in view all the legal requirements.
The bench after hearing arguments of all parties dismissed the petitions.
