ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, the European Union (EU) and Luxembourg, Jalil Abbas Jilani thanked the Member EU Parliament for South West England William Dartmouth for presenting a copy of the European Parliament debate held on January 20, 2011 in Strasbourg on the murder of the former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer.  Dartmouth had called on the Pakistani ambassador at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, according to a message received here on Friday. The ambassador expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the EU parliament members for supporting Pakistan’s case for trade concessions in order to help the country’s economic recovery from the flood devastation. The ambassador apprised him about the country’s economic developments and expressed the hope that the EU Parliament will continue support for Pakistan’s case in the European Union, for greater market access through the World Trade Organisation waiver.
