
Nestle Pakistan’s net profit jumped 51 per cent to Rs1.49 billion in the first quarter of 2011, compared with Rs992 million recorded in the corresponding period last year, according to a notice sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange on Friday.
The company’s net sales surged 35 per cent to Rs16.3 billion against Rs12.05 billion last year.
Nestle has a wide range of products across a number of markets, including bottled water, beverages, chocolate, ice cream and infant foods.
The firm manufactures several of the global Nestle brands in Pakistan while the others are imported.
