Six senior police officers transferred, posted

District South has new DIG, SSP, District Korangi has a new SSP

KARACHI:
As many as six more senior police officers were transferred and posted on Wednesday as part of an ongoing reshuffle in the Sindh police department.

In pursuance of the federal establishment division’s notification on the promotion of BS-20 officers, Saqib Ismail Memon, an officer of the Police Service of Pakistan and a Senior Superintendent of Police in District South, has been transferred and posted with immediate effect as Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Zone, replacing Azad Khan, who has been posted as the Training DIG, relieving Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh of the additional charge. These transfers were announced via a notification issued by Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon.


Similarly, Syed Asad Raza, a BS-19 officer and the Administration AIG at the Central Police Office, has been transferred and posted as District South SSP. Ghulam Nabi Keerio, a BS-18 officer, has been posted as District West Traffic SP against an existing vacancy.

Sindh govt empowers home minister to transfer, post senior cops

Nasir Aftab has been posted as District Sujawal SP, while Fida Hussain Janwari who previously held the post has been posted as the District Korangi SSP. Muhammad Nouman Siddiqui, who previously held the post, has been directed to report to the services, general administration and coordination department. Sources in the police department said more transfer and postings in the department as expected in the coming days.
